Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are carefully integrated in The Mountain Academy curriculum. Through engaging literature, Socratic Seminars, blogging, and reflections, students are empowered to think critically, extend their understanding, and to defend their own thinking.
Students enrolled in The Mountain Academy of Arts and Sciences will be part of the 1:1 iPad program that opens up possibilities when researching, creating, designing, and demonstrating learning.
The purpose of the Mountain Academy of Arts & Sciences is to innovate and engage learners through experiences and hands-on learning. Students must apply their learning and skills to a variety of situations. With frequent independent or group projects, students will be asked to use and apply what they have learned through authentic tasks and real-world situations that are rooted in the curriculum we have been learning. In this way, we lay a foundation for a lifelong appreciation of learning.
